Advocacy: Yes you can! 

The San Antonio Nonprofit Council and Any Baby Can Texas are pleased to present a FREE advocacy workshop for nonprofits, thier board of directors and agency staff...                  

This fast-paced, interactive session will explore the role of advocacy and lobbying by 501(c)(3) nonprofits in advancing organizational mission. Participants will be provided with an overview of advocacy and lobbying that included definitions, rules, and regulations of lobbying, and how to apply the information to their own organizations. The workshop will focus on how nonprofits can make advocacy an integral part of their work, with little or no added expense.

Participants will be paired up with one another to discuss policy issues of concern to their individual organizations. This will provide the participants the opportunity to think through policy issues related to their organizations' missions, desired policy changes, as well as current activities and future endeavors that could be undertaken to address the desired policy changes.
The workshop will conclude with a brainstorming session on small steps that participants might take to engage their organization in advocacy.
